Asthma Study

Bozeman Health Clinical Research is currently enrolling patients for a new asthma clinical research study, and we wanted to inform you of this opportunity. The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of a new generic fixed-dose combination of budesonide 80 mcg/formoterol 4.5mcg to the marketed Symbicort. Potential subjects must be 12 – 75 years of age, have moderate to severe asthma and have had an asthma diagnosis for at least 6 months. Participants will receive currently marketed asthma medications or study drug, study-related EKGs, laboratory workup, lung function tests, and study-related physician exams at no cost. A clinical trial is a research study of human participants that is designed to answer questions about a specific intervention so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the intervention on health-related outcomes. The design of a research study is outlined by the research protocol. A clinical trial has inclusion and exclusion criteria specified in the protocol that a participant must meet in order to participate in a study.
