Emergency Medicine in Bozeman, MT
Featuring an experienced Emergency team with the expertise to provide care
for urgent and emergent care.
The 27-bed, 25 room, Level III Verified Trauma Center, is staffed by board
certified physicians, mid-level practitioners and registered nurses 24
hours a day. Meeting the demand of a growing community, our Emergency
department has over 20,000 visits a year.
As a Level III Trauma Center we have 24 hour availability of our trauma
team, which encompasses members of the OR, ER, anesthesia, respiratory
therapy, pharmacy, lab, and radiology. This team can be assembled and
ready even prior to the injured patient's arrival in the hospital.
Our trauma department rigorously reviews all of our trauma cases and meets
monthly to discuss aspects of care and review advances in trauma education
Patients are seen in the Emergency department depending on the severity
of condition first, then on a first-come, first-serve basis for non-emergent
conditions. Note that ambulances have priority to patient placement in
the Emergency department. Patients who need laboratory work, x-rays, ultrasounds
or CT scan, can expect to wait between 30-70 minutes for results and interpretation.
Bozeman Health also has a number of special services, qualified technicians
and staff to support emergent efforts. These specialty areas include imaging,
laboratory and respiratory services, which are available 24 hours a day.
