Diabetes Educators and Dietitians
We have a great team of Diabetes Educators and Dietitians who are ready
to step in and help provide solutions that work.
Jessica Emanuel, RD, LN, CDE
Jessica, a native of Great Falls, joined the Bozeman Health team in 2012.
She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
from Montana State University, and completed her dietetic internship through
the Montana Dietetic Internship in 2012. Jessica is a registered dietitian,
and became a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2015.
At the Diabetes Center, Jessica currently serves as the American Diabetes
Association program coordinator. She provides individual education for
persons with Type I, Type 2, and Gestational diabetes. She is also a certified
product trainer for all insulin pump models and continuous glucose monitors.
She is also a certified health coach for the ACT NOW diabetes prevention program.
Arlene Eliason, RD, LN, CDE
Arlene CW Eliason, a native of Helena, joined the Bozeman Health Diabetes
Center to provide diabetes education to persons with diabetes in 2007.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University
and completed her dietetic internship at University of Oregon Health Sciences
Center in Portland, Oregon. Arlene is a registered dietitian and became
a Certified Diabetes Educator in 1994.
At the Diabetes Center, Arlene was the coordinator for our ADA recognized
program for 9 years. She provides education for persons with type 1, type
2 and gestational diabetes. She is knowledgeable about insulin pump therapy.
Lindsay Kay Kordick, MS, RD, LN, EPc
Lindsay Kay Kordick, a native of Butte, has lived in Bozeman since 2000.
She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Montana
State in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences and completed her dietetic internship
in Los Angeles at Cal Poly University- Pomona. Lindsay is a registered
dietitian and Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College
of Sports Medicine. She has worked as a personal trainer and group fitness
instructor for 16 years and truly believes that exercise is medicine.
At Bozeman Health Lindsay teaches the diabetes management courses, and
is a health coach for the ACT NOW diabetes prevention program. She leads
the LIVE NOW weight loss group and also meets with individual patients
in the clinic setting. Her specialties include weight loss, eating disorders,
sports nutrition and overall nutrition for health improvements.
Rebecca Cawood, RDN, LN
Rebecca Cawood, RDN, LN, earned her Nutrition & Dietetics degree with
a coordinated internship from Eastern Michigan University and was soon
after credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She worked
as an inpatient clinical dietitian in Pennsylvania before moving to Montana
and joining the Bozeman Health team in 2015. Rebecca has experience coaching
individuals in both clinical and community settings to meet wellness goals
related to weight loss, chronic disease management, diabetes management,
and cancer survival.
Amy Katz, RN, CDE
Amy Katz received her Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and
worked as a Firefighter-EMT in Utah before earning her RN degree in 2000.
She worked in Critical Care in Salt Lake City and moved to Bozeman in 2007.
At the Bozeman Health Diabetes and Nutrition Center, Amy is an RN-Certified
Diabetes Educator. She provides education for people with type 1, type
2, and gestational diabetes and is a certified pump trainer.
