Bozeman Health is pleased to announce a new joint venture with Bozeman
Urgent Care Center, 1006 W. Main St., and Family Doctors’ Urgent
Care, 120 N. 19th St., which now are operating as Bozeman Health Urgent
Care. The plan is to have similar services in Belgrade once the new Belgrade
Clinic facility opens in mid-2016.
“As we strive to improve access to health care across the region,
we added urgent care services to our integrated health system,”
said Chris Darnell, Vice President of Bozeman Health Medical Group. “In
response to expressed community needs and wants, we expanded healthcare
options in the valley.”
The benefit of Bozeman Health Urgent Care is that they are open seven days
a week, walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is necessary. The clinics
are staffed by qualified physicians and advanced practitioners. Patients
of all ages are welcome. This option makes sense when patients cannot
get a needed same-day appointment with their regular provider, do not
have a medical issue serious enough to warrant an emergency room visit,
and/ or don’t have a regular medical provider but need to be seen sooner.
Darnell noted that Urgent Care does not take the place of traditional primary
care; rather, it should complement such services. In December, all Bozeman
Health facilities will convert to a fully integrated electronic health
record system. That means a regular provider can see what care their patient
received during an Urgent Care visit, and Urgent Care providers can see
the patient’s existing medical status before offering care, thus
establishing continuity of care.
Additionally, our Urgent Care has laboratory and imaging services, and
accepts most insurance.
