Active Aging Week at Bozeman Health - Explore Possibilities

Community members are invited to “Explore the Possibilities” at the Fifth Annual Active Aging Week sponsored by Bozeman Health Hillcrest Senior Living and Bozeman Parks and Recreation.

Scheduled for September 26-30, Active Aging Week is an offering of free workshops and other activities “celebrating our abilities and interests in active aging.” A great line-up of events for the local actively aging population will be held at seven different locations around Bozeman, with the majority offered at Hillcrest Senior Living.

The Opening Ceremony will feature Tom Tursich, an inspirational speaker who will address the value of living an engaged life and how to keep the golden years golden. Other workshops range from exercise classes geared to active seniors to learning hands-only CPR, spotting (and avoiding) scams aimed at seniors to the art of coloring, trail walks to maximizing independence.

New activities this year include an introduction to the sport of archery, a visit to the Bozeman Health HealthCare Connections Mobile Screening Vehicle, learning to use an iPad, an interfaith panel on contemporary topics, geocaching and swing dancing.

People attending ten events or more will be eligible for a chance to win free passes to “Broadway in Bozeman” and to Bozeman Hot Springs.
