Big Sky Medical Center: First New Montana Facility in Decades

No one can clearly come up with a definitive date for the last time it happened. Some say it’s been 25 years, others suggest 50 years. Perhaps for some it’s just a guess. What all agree on, however, is that it’s been a very long time since a brand new, built from-the-ground-up medical center, providing both emergency and inpatient care, has been erected in Montana.

With the December 2015 opening of the Big Sky Medical Center, the fact that Bozeman Health has been a driver of this endeavor in the Gallatin Valley is beyond exciting. To be a part of an organization that can deliver on its mission to improve community health and quality of life on a scale of this magnitude is both an honor and a thrill.

The Big Sky Medical Center opening will be a monumental occasion as it will not only close the gap in a healthcare deficit in southern Gallatin Valley, but will provide world class healthcare availability for those traveling from all over the world.

Lastly, and a point that should not be overlooked, while opening up a medical center that provides 24/7/365 access to acute care is vital, Big Sky Medical Center will be a venue for promoting and advancing the health and wellness of the community it serves.

We have assimilated an excellent team of nurses, physicians, and staff who are committed and excited to open the doors at Montana’s newest medical center in Big Sky, and start providing the community with a superb healthcare experience.
