Mind Body Medicine

04-01-2016

Are you interested in learning about ways to support your body’s natural balance and healing?

Mind Body Medicine uses skills and techniques to improve your physiologic response to stress and help promote your body’s ability to restore and rejuvenate.

Lisa Marie Todd, MD, of Bozeman Health Neuroscience Center is leading small group sessions to teach these empowering techniques that promote your self-care and well-being. Dr. Todd has completed advanced study in this field at The Chopra Center and The Center for Mind Body Medicine, which complements her work at Bozeman Health, where she treats individuals with chronic disease and pain.

Participants will learn about Meditation and Mindfulness, Breath Work, Guided Imagery, Movement as Medicine, Biofeedback, Active Meditation, Genograms (family trees that allow the user to analyze hereditary patterns and psychological factors) and Mindful Eating.

The skills workshop will be presented over 10 weeks, two hours each class, beginning April 5, 2016. All meetings will take place at Bozeman Health Neuroscience Center, 931 Highland Blvd, Suite 3210. Two skills group sessions are being offered, one evenings only and the other a mix of morning and evening sessions. Cost of the class is $300.

Those who want to know more about the subject before enrolling, can attend a brief introduction to mind body medicine presented by Dr. Todd at no charge on Wednesday, March 30th at 5:30 pm in the Bitterroot room. For more information or to register for the 10-week skills group, please call Bozeman Health Neuroscience Center at 406-414-2410 and ask for Rachel Pemberton.
