Learn the symptoms of this serious lung disease that isn't cancer

Is it COPD?

Common signs and symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) include:

A long-term cough, often with a lot of mucus.

Shortness of breath, especially with exertion.

Chest tightness.

Wheezing.

People with COPD may not have any symptoms at first—or only mild ones. But that changes as the disease progresses. If you have symptoms, see a doctor. Treatment and lifestyle changes can help slow the course of COPD.
