Bozeman, MT [May 2, 2019] — The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) has announced that Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital has been named a Top 20 Rural Community Hospital for 2019. Deaconess Hospital is an 86-bed facility, DNV GL-accredited, licensed Level III trauma center serving Southwest Montana. This is the third year in a row Deaconess Hospital has been recognized by NRHA.

The determining factors for the top 20 rural community hospitals were based on eight indices: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charge, and financial stability.

"These eight indicators represent how our hospital, and entire health system, works to deliver excellent, expert care to Southwest Montana every day. Each one of our care providers is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve—they are truly the ones who make Bozeman Health a nationally-recognized organization," stated John Hill, Bozeman Health president and CEO.

The designation is based on an evaluation by The Chartis Center for Rural Health using iVantage Health Analytics' Hospital Strength Index. Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital, along with the other rural community hospitals named, will be recognized in an awards ceremony during NRHA's Rural Hospital Innovation Summit on May 9 in Atlanta. Congratulations to our Deaconess Hospital team!

Additionally, Bozeman Health president and CEO John Hill has been recognized as a Top 60 Rural Hospital CEOs to Know for 2019 by Becker's Healthcare. John joined Bozeman Health in August 2016 and received this recognition in 2017 and 2018 as well.
