Byron Wright, M.D., is a surgical oncologist with Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital. Dr. Wright earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington. He then went to Chicago Medical School where he earned his medical degree. Continuing on with his studies, he completed an internal medicine residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, Washington. A general surgery residency and surgical critical care and research fellowship occurred at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Wright also completed an esophageal fellowship at Ryan Hill Research Foundation at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, and a surgical oncology fellowship at John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. He is board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and fellowship-trained in surgical oncology.
