Biography
Dr. Vance is a board-certified family physician and fellowship trained geriatrician. She graduated from The Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, WV in 2018 and went on to complete her family medicine residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at The Christ Hospital | University of Cincinnati’s combined program in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her training, Dr. Vance remained highly involved in her community as an advocate for health equity. She co-authored a grant to support elderly patients experiencing food insecurity during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Clinically, her special interests include diagnosis and treatment of neurocognitive (memory) disease, promoting healthy aging, sexual health and aging, and LGBTQIA+ health.
Dr. Vance strongly believes in physician-patient collaboration and strives to provide patient centered care. Prior to medical school, she worked as a biology teacher, and she applies this background to educating her patients about their health and empowering them to make the best decisions possible about their treatments and care goals. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband and one-year-old daughter.
