Biography

Zachary Sturges, MD, a native of Great Falls, is a member of Absaroka Emergency Physicians and the medical staff at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital. A graduate of University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Sturges completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Utah, where he was chief resident, and a fellowship in emergency medicine with a focus on simulation technology. Dr. Sturges became an assistant professor and attending physician with the University of Utah Division of Emergency Medicine in Salt Lake City, and worked abroad providing physician coverage at a teaching hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. He then worked at Mat Su Regional Emergency Department in Palmer, Alaska. Dr. Sturges is a faculty member of the Intermountain Institute for Disaster Medicine and continues to teach in emergency medicine resident training programs at the University of Utah. He is board certified in emergency medicine.
